We got to sit down with BET Awards 2016 Viewer's Choice nominee, Emtee and he says that as ecstatic as he is to be nominated, he's not picky about which category he would like to win. "I've won awards in the past, so which ever award I could win is welcomed, especially the breakthrough award." he says.
The rapper said he would appreciate the award as he plans to do more in music.
"I haven't done enough; I still want to push forward, maybe if I could work even harder I'll say I've made it. But for now I still want to prove myself, because people aren't sure whether to put me with the kings of Hip Hop or with the underground cats." Emtee said.
He also said that he's rooting for Olamide in the Hip Hop category if he doesn't take it himself.
"He's really been working hard. Olamide's been featuring a lot of international artists. I don't want to be biased because there's another SA artist in the category. It is not about relations, it's about music and about who's put in the work," the rapper said.
When asked if he has a date; Emtee said, "I'll be taking my partner to the awards, who also happens to be the one dressing me."
The rapper's been nominated in the Best Breakthrough and Best Hip Hop category. His song, " Roll Up Re-Up " featuring AKA and Wizikd is in the running for Song Of The Year In Partnership With Google.
